Weekend at the spa, B12 coffee, and a reminder about motherhood
Our relaxing getaway
This past weekend Siella and I had a super relaxing staycation at Gurney’s Montauk. I’ve been coming here for years with the kids, in fact look at this now and then pic of her and I. And I especially love it during the fall and winter months when it's less crowded and you can fully enjoy the facilities. We had a full spa day, shopped, dined - it couldn’t have been more perfect. I just posted a reel here. Wore this cozy and super affordable set!
When we got home, unfortunately Gemma was experiencing an ear ache and Siella was still coughing, so I decided to take both of them to the urgent care Sunday night just to rule out anything and be ready for our week ahead. Turns out Gemma had an ear infection, she put Siella on a z-pack, and as we were leaving I said I had a cold last week but now I’m coughing again, she was like let me just listen to your lungs, and turns out I was totally wheezing. Now you guys know I wound up getting diagnosed with asthma year and half ago. All week I was experiencing heart burn, and I blew it off thinking it was stress, but it turns out it was a chest infection. She gave me steriods and it’s just a reminder to not ignore yourself during this whole motherhood journey. Selfcare is something I need to remind myself of constantly. Luckily we are all on the mend now! Loading up on these essentials right now - here and here!
NYC LIFE
Last night, I tried Ambassador’s Clubhouse - a new Indian hotspot here in NYC. We’ve been to the London location and it’s seriously one of my favorite spots. Happy to report this place did not disappoint! The food, ambiance and service were so excellent, and I cannot wait to go back! If you can get a res, I highly recommend!
This morning I attended an incredible meetup curated by my friend Janelle Teaves. She is CCO of Bugaboo and longtime friend. I adore her work for Bugaboo, but for the past two years she’s been doing a “day in the life” videos on how she balances being a corporate executive and motherhood on IG and they are so freakin inspiring I’m obsessed. Anywho she just launched Work Lunch, which she describes as a career growth suite for professionals navigating corporate life. While I’m not in the corporate world, I do consider myself a CEO of my company, so I attended her first fireside chat this morning. It was held at the new Nepresso Flagship on 5th Ave. The convo was so inspiring, I even tried a new Nepresso flavor (it has b12 in it!) Between my Creator Catalyzer course and this, you guys my brain is so fired up with ideas and just a little message to anyone feeling stuck right now is that it’s never too late to learn something new or better yet grow! I think a lot of us mamas tend to stay stagnate in our lives, careers but we don’t have to. There will be different seasons in your life where you are a new mom, have a new job and time will be dedicated to those things, but after that season is over you can still have goals and dreams to fullfill. Do I sound like a crazy person yet? Anywho I have so many new ideas on what I want to do with Stroller In The City so stay tuned!
